I’ve been having such a blast guest-hosting the filmmaking shows for the Internet radio show, SpotlightonCT.com. It’s such a terrific way to get the information out there on local talent. Yesterday, I got to interview writer, David Ryan Polgar and two of his lead actors for the recently premiered TANGO JEALOUSY, Valentina D’Amore, and Michael Eck.

I was also fortunate enough to interview the talented Marty Lang who brought along actress Emily Morse to talk about the fund raising for RISING STAR. Please stay tuned to when you can listen to these wonderful people.39877_1581774950064_1406400884_1565767_4175306_n

Marty Lang is a talented writer/director who is looking to raise funds for a feature film set in Hartford called RISING STAR. He needs to raise $15,000 by mid-September (he already has more than $3000). Please support this project by visiting: risingstarmovie.com and donating whatever you can.

A new online local news source contacted us regarding the film fete. This week, if you visit: www.dotcanton.com you will see a fab write up by Stephen Wilder about our successful film festival. Also this week, check out the article I wrote about writer David Ryan Polgar in the West Hartford News (westhartfordnews.com). You just go to the STEPPING OUT section and you can read all about David and his short film, Tango Jealousy.

It felt like the Academy Awards in Collinsville tonight. That’s because the 1st annual Film Festival had everything from the red carpet to limousine service and catered food. Over 100 people were in attendance to see the roughly 10 short films shot here in the Valley. Thanks to all who came out and made the first film fest one to remember. See you next year.

My producing partner, Craig Murphy surprised even me the other day. He actually paid a hefty sum of money to take a ride in an aircraft that hasn’t seen combat in almost 70 years. The Liberty Bell is a B-17 bomber used by the allies during WW2. Craig thought it would help get him in the mood for the premiere of Broken Heroes. 34490_1547351649503_1406400884_1467660_4718684_n

I love it when I pull open my mailbox and in between the bills and junk I get something worthwhile. The CANTON LIFE did a really nice write up on the FVFC. Don’t know yet if it made the AVON, SIMSBURY or FARMINGTON LIFE yet but you should check it out if you can.

In addition to the Internet radio show promoting the FVFC, I just opened my mailbox and was thrilled to see an article in the Canton News (foothillsmediagroup.com and scroll down to the Canton News and look for the Summer Film Fete story). We’re expecting much more press in the next few days so stay tuned.
